2025
Al Yamamah Wind Power Systems Factory
Production commenced in 2025 at Al Yamamah Wind Energy Systems Factory, located in Yanbu Industrial City. This pioneering facility is the first of its kind in the Kingdom and the Gulf region, dedicated to manufacturing steel towers that carry turbines used for generating electricity from wind energy. With a designed production capacity of 50,000 tons annually, each tower stands at a height of 130 meters and features a diameter of 6 meters.

Expansion in the electric poles production sector
In response to the Kingdom’s growing needs in the electric lighting poles production sector, Al Yamamah Steel has doubled its production capacity of electric poles, contributing to strengthening the electrical infrastructure in the Kingdom.
2024
Expansion in Steel Pipes Factory
Al Yamama Steel increased its steel pipe production capacity in Jeddah from 160,000 tons to 216,000 tons annually. The total production capacity of steel pipes across both plants in Jeddah and Dammam reached 400,000 tons annually, securing a larger market share in the Kingdom.

Expansion in Steel Pipes Factory
Al Yamamah Steel has increased its production capacity of steel pipes in Jeddah to 216,000 tons per year instead of 156,000 tons per year, thus capturing a larger market share in the Kingdom.
2023
Expansion in Steel Pipes Factory
Al Yamama Steel raised its steel pipe production capacity at its Dammam factory to 180,000 tons annually to meet the growing demand for welded steel pipes in the Kingdom and GCC countries.
2022
Expansion of the power towers production plant
In response to the Kingdom’s growing needs for the transmission of national electricity between different cities and sectors, Al Yamamah Steel has doubled its production of electrical power towers to reach 96,000 tons per year, to contribute to strengthening the Kingdom’s electrical infrastructure and national projects.

Establishment of wind energy systems factory
In continuation of the continuous development plans in the renewable energy sector, Al Yamamah Steel has established a wind energy systems production plant in Yanbu Industrial City, to contribute to achieving environmental sustainability goals.

Responding to COVID-19 Pandemic
Al Yamamah Steel successfully adapted to the challenges imposed by the global COVID-19 pandemic, continuing to support the national economy and strengthening the steel industry in the Kingdom.

Launch of Solar Power Systems Factory
As part of its ongoing development and innovation plans, Al Yamamah Steel ventured into the renewable energy sector by establishing a factory in Jeddah for producing steel structures carrying PV & CSP systems for solar energy with an annual production capacity of 100,000 tons, contributing to the Kingdom’s commitment to clean energy and reducing reliance on oil.

The steel pipe production capacity at the Dammam factory was further raised from 90,000 tons to 160,000 tons annually.

Transition to a Holding Company
A significant milestone in the history of Al Yamamah Steel Industries, the company transitioned into a holding company with public assets, reflecting its industrial strength and financial stability.

Further Expansion in Steel Pipes Factory
Al Yamamah Steel increased its production capacity for steel pipes at its Dammam factory from 43,000 tons to 90,000 tons annually.

Further Expansion in Steel Pipes Factory
Due to the increasing demand for steel pipes, Al Yamamah Steel established its new factory in Dammam with a production capacity of 42,000 tons per year to meet the increasing demand for steel pipes and serve its customers in the Eastern Province of the Kingdom in addition to increasing its market share and entering the markets of the Gulf countries.

Expansion in Steel Pipes Factory
Al Yamamah Steel increased its production capacity of steel pipes in Jeddah to from 120,000 to 160,000 tons annually, which led to a larger market share in the western and southern regions as well as North Africa.
2009
Al Yamamah Company for Reinforcing Steel Bars (Subsidiary)
Al Yamamah established its reinforcing steel company (a subsidiary company) to produce rebar and wire rods, serving the local market and the vital construction materials sector in the Kingdom and neighboring countries.
2008
Launch of Electrical Power Towers Factory
Al Yamamah Steel expanded its operations in the power sector by launching electrical power towers and communication towers, with a production capacity of 36,000 tons annually. This production supported the major infrastructure projects in the Kingdom’s electrical sector.
2005
Launch of Electric Poles Factory and Accessories
Al Yamamah Steel entered the energy sector by establishing roads lighting poles factory and accessories, contributing to the enhancement of the Kingdom’s electrical infrastructure.
1995
Expansion in Steel Pipes Factory
The company expanded its production capacity steel pipes from 48,000 tons to 120,000 tons annually, which allowed it to gain a larger market share in the western and southern regions.
1990
Company Inception
Al Yamamah Steel Industries was founded in Jeddah and started its first factory for producing welded steel pipes in 1990, utilizing the latest technologies, and adhering to the highest global specifications and standards. The designed production capacity reached 84,000 tons annually.

In 2022, Al Yamamah Steel Industries began the construction of the Al Yamamah Wind Power Systems Factory in Yanbu Industrial City, with the goal of enhancing the Kingdom's transition to renewable energy sources. The factory specializes in producing steel towers that support turbines used in wind power systems.

The factory began full-scale production in 2025, with a design production capacity of 50,000 tons annually. The facility is known for producing steel towers with heights reaching up to 130 meters and diameters of up to 6 meters.

The establishment of this factory in Saudi Arabia marks an important step towards maximizing the use of renewable energy sources, reinforcing the shift away from traditional energy sources such as oil.
