Al Yamamah Steel Industries Company was founded in 1989 and began its journey by building a solid industrial foundation using the latest machinery and technologies, with the goal of contributing to the industrial development taking place in Saudi Arabia.
The company started its journey with diverse industrial expansions aimed at enhancing economic growth and reducing reliance on oil.
It began operations in the steel pipe sector in Jeddah in 1990, and gradually expanded by establishing the Al Yamamah Electric Poles Factory and Al Yamamah Company for Reinforcing Steel Bars (Subsidiary) between 2005 and 2008.
In 2008, the company launched the Al Yamamah Electric Towers Factory in Jeddah, followed by the opening of the second Al Yamamah Steel Pipes Factory in Dammam in 2013.
In 2016, the company transitioned into a public joint-stock company with its assets being traded in the financial market.
By 2018, the company took a step towards renewable energy by establishing the Al Yamamah Solar Power Systems Factory in Jeddah, and in 2025, started producing Wind Power Systems through its factory Al Yamamah Wind Power Systems Factory in Yanbu Industrial City.
